I first heard about this event a few years ago and immediately fell in love with the colors and atmosphere. You get to wear pink and white and sip Rosé while partying with other lovely ladies. I missed the events in Atlanta, Houston, and Washington, D.C., so I couldn’t miss the one in Chicago on International Rosé Day. So, come celebrate while being pretty and pink with me and get all you need to know about Célébrez en Rosé Chicago edition.
Outfit
First and foremost, what am I going to wear? I was rushed, which caused me to miss the shipping date for my Shein clothing. I landed in Zara after walking through the gorgeous downtown Chicago. Your girl went completely insane in there, because the event had a pink and/or white color theme, shopping was simple.
Location
The event was held at Burnham Park, which overlooks Oakwood Beach. It took us about twenty minutes to get there from Downtown Chicago. Globetrotting tip: wear flats until you get to the park there is a long walk over a bridge to reach the destination.
Transportation
We used Lyft and Uber to the event and had no problems, other than a caution to be cautious of our surroundings. We didn’t have any problems with the warning until we had a difficult time getting transportation back owing to where we were in Chicago. A kind soul from, I believe it was called, Safe Passage group waited with us until our transportation came.
Packages
The event offered a variety of ticket packages, ranging from general admission to a few VIP choices, with each package’s price and contents rising consecutively. General admission provided admission, access to live entertainment, drinks, picture opportunities, games, and the food pavilion. I booked the Champagne VIP package through their website, which included access to the Rosé Garden, a VIP lounge, and a premium lunch provided by Wolfgang Puck. I was unimpressed since the lounge was first come, first served, and they ran out of the promised catered food, insert furious emoji.
Event
Once you enter the queue associated with your package you are given: a bracelet, a welcome bottle of Rose, and a “blanket” in a super cute goodie bag. Then you see why they chose the color palette of pink and white.
- Live entertainment featured DJ tunes by Jazzy Jeff, the underrated Mya, who we missed due to the weather, and slow dance vibes provided by Robin Thicke.
- Food included various food truck options, with the longest lines. We met a young lady who stood in line for 45 minutes.
- You can bring a picnic basket to set up your own feast. We saw beauties with setups ranging from charcuterie boards to buckets of fried chicken.
- There are cashless bars that serve beverages other than Rosé. There was a margarita station, but they quickly ran out of margarita mix. My bundle included one additional bottle of bubbly.
- The venue is held outdoors, which means portable toilets, this is where my VIP package came in handy with the upgraded bathrooms.
This event was definitely one for the books! I can’t wait to get pretty in pink for next year’s Célébrez en Rosé. I hope I told you all that you need to know about Chicago’s edition of Célébrez en Rosé. Have I persuaded you to add this festival to your calendar for next year?
